Market Opportunity

The global market for ultrafiltration (UF) membranes has grown to nearly $3.3 billion in 2016 from $3.1 billion in 2015. The market is expected to grow at a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.9% from 2016 to 2021, increasing to nearly $4.6 billion in 2021. The major applications of the technology: food and beverage processing, biopharmaceuticals manufacture, hemodialysis, potable water production, wastewater treatment and industrial processes (Source: BCC Research).

Technology

This ultrafiltration (UF) hollow fiber membrane is made from polyethersulfone (PES), a low cost and commercially available polymer widely accepted for use in membrane applications.
